New Pink Paislee – yummy!

September 23, 2009

I will be teaching a class at Scrapbook Parade in November using the new fall line from Pink Paislee and it is YUMMY!!!  The line is called “Amber Road” and is everything fabulous about fall – warm colours, apples, harvest, gratitude.  Now that it is officially fall, I am definitely in the mood for some “cooler” layouts – here are a couple of the layouts for that class.

All About Autumn Class

Next I will be working on some layouts for that spookiest of seasons. . .  with the new lines from Fancy Pants and Pink Paislee – YAY!!!

Catching up

September 22, 2009

It has been such a busy week – back to work, teaching classes, and kids into school full time!  I have been hanging out alot at Wescrap – the ABC card swap is in full swing and we are having a great time –  Wescrap membership is now FREE (yippee) so drop by and sign up for lots of chances to win some great prizes and meet some terrific scrappers from around the globe!

I taught a 10 page layout class at Scrapbook Parade on the weekend – lots of fun and great to reconnect with some students I haven’t seen in a while!  Here is what we made using the Garden Grove collection from Scenic Route!

Check back tomorrow for information on the upcoming Design Team search at Wescrap – maybe you are the person we need to join our team – all the details will be here, so check it out!!!

Happy Day everyone!

A cool photography site. . .

September 14, 2009

I made a really fun discovery the other day and want to share!  You may be familiar with Allison Orthner – a photographer and scrapper who writes for Canadian Scrapbooker and has been published in numerous scrapbook publications.  She also hosts Crop and Cruise events where you can crop while you cruise ( how great would that be?????)

I love her blog and website – check them out here and here – they are full of inspiration for your photography and scrapping!!!

The funny part?  Even though I have been a fan for a while I never realized until this weekend that she was my LOCKER PARTNER all through high school!  We finally caught up with each other on Facebook and put it all together!!!  Small world!  And its been fun to catch up after all these years!!!

So check out her blog and website – they are terrific – and maybe you will even want to join her in Cancun as an instructor or participant at her next event!!

And on another, completely different, tangent – here is one of the layouts for a class I am teaching at Scrapbook Parade this weekend – there is still a spot or two available – 10 pages using the terrific Garden Grove collection from Scenic Route!

Back to School Layout

September 9, 2009

Well the first full day of school was today and I miss my gang already!  They were at school for just 2 hours yesterday.  I love the relaxed pace of the summer, but my guys especially thrive on structure so the school year organization is a good thing overall!

I did a layout today for Back to School – entitled 8, 5, 4, 2 – I can’t believe they are big enough to be in these grades!  Supplies are:  paper from Creative Imaginations, embellies are mostly Junkitz, tags are 7 Gypsies and MAMBI, and a lot of little bits and peices of stuff I had lying around.  The stamp is a cheapie from Michaels – but I loved the apples!  Happy Day everyone!
